Two year old, 38 pound, Nova was seen being dragged into the woods by a chain and left there. A good Samaritan recovered her and contacted us. This gal was catatonic with fear. A few months at her foster home and she has blossomed! The closest breed ID on this menu is staffies but Nova is small and more angular than a staff. This 2 year old is deeply affectionate, gives lots of kisses, loves her toys and needs a secure fenced yard to do her zoomies. Her new home must be calm and have a routine that she can depend on; new things scare her. She would enjoy a dog pal who is older and calm, dominant dogs scare her. Nova is crate trained, good with the foster's outdoor cats, and is playful but still cautious. No aggression just timid until she warms up. She is healthy, fully vetted and very pretty! Teens fine no kids, they scare her. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
