About Nutmeg

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Notes from a Doggy Day Trip foster: 'Oh what a sweet and beautiful girl is Nutmeg! On our day out we started calling her 'Nutmeg Honey Cake' or sometimes just 'Meg' for short. She seemed happy with whatever we called her as long as she was getting hugs and kisses. When we first met her she was timid‰'Ű|by the end of our time together she was wagging her tail high in the air and doing zoomies with a smile! Nutmeg is the perfect small to medium size, her short brown coat is so pretty, and her amber eyes are just mesmerizing. She walked so well with a leash and halter that both my five and seven year old sons were able to walk her‰'Ű|She wasn't very treat motivated, she seemed to prefer a pet and hugs and kisses. At first, we thought she was such a shy girl, but Meg started to loosen up and show that she definitely has a lot of spunk. She loved splashing in puddles and walking and jogging next to us. She would probably make a great walking or even running buddy. Nutmeg was especially kind with the kids and loved following them around‰'Ű|Although nervous at first she‰'Ű|quickly bonded with the kids and wanted to snuggle up to them. She would definitely love a home with children to play with and love.' Nutmeg is a 2YO Staffordshire Mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 8/8/22. She weighs 41 lbs.
