About Grizzy

Adoption Fee: $595
Yorkie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Grizzy is a beautiful, adorable, almost 4 year old silver Yorkie. He weighs 12.3 pounds. Grizzy is being fostered in Leesburg, Florida. UPDATED BIO 10/1/22: Grizzy is as close to a perfect little pup you could ever want. He is happy, friendly, and loving. More than anything, though, he LOVES people. Grizzy came from a home where he lived with 3 other dogs. Sadly, he was never to get the attention, time, and love he craved so much. His world begins and ends with being with people, cuddling up to people, and having people love and cuddle with him, and give him and only him all the attention he so badly needs and wants. When Grizzy thinks he is not getting enough time, attention, and love from his people he will whimper at them with soft little whimpers that seem to say, 'Please, pay attention to me.' There is one other thing Grizzy loves, not as much as people, but second. He loves the fenced backyard where he can try his best to catch a squirrel, bird, or lizard. He will go outside and stand under the tree that he knows the squirrels hang out. He patiently waits and watches for even just one to come into his view and he's off. And once again the squirrel wins. He tries with a bird and he tries with a lizard. No luck yet, but he will never give up. This is what Grizzy needs more than anything in his forever home to make his world perfect: 1. A person home with him most of the time to give him attention and love and their time 2. No other pet in his forever home. He doesn't want to share his people. He would not make a good companion or friend for another dog. 3. A fenced backyard so he can try with all his heart to get a squirrel, bird, or even a little lizard. Grizzy loves to cuddle up with his person on the big people bed. No doggie beds for him. He is a great eater and will eat his meal right down. He does love his food and that is why he came with about 2 pounds extra. He has been on a diet and he's getting some good exercise, but he is still just a little too chubby. He does fine in the car. He walks okay on the leash, though he will pull, so a little leash training wouldn't hurt. At Grizzy's vet visit he was declared a very healthy fellow. He may have some allergies. A half of an Apoquel pill takes care of the itching and makes him more comfortable. Grizzy knows to do his business outside, however I can't be absolutely sure he is fully house trained. He has had no accidents at night and is able to wait until morning to go outside and do his business. However, during the day, with his foster brothers here too, we are never sure who we are cleaning up from and no one ever tells who did it. Most likely a home without carpet would be a good idea. If you can give Grizzy what he needs, someone home most of the time to give him the love and attention, Grizzy being the only furry love of their life, a fenced yard so he can chase the squirrels, birds, and lizards, please submit an adoption application for him. If you are lucky enough to be his forever family you will get so much love and kisses and a beautiful fur baby to cuddle with and love until his forever.
