Abigail is a 1.5 year old female 44 lb red and white American Staffordshire that was confiscated from an animal cruelty case in SC where several young females where being bred repeatedly to use puppies. Abigail had a litter of 8 puppies that were outside in the heat and dirt in a kennel with Abigail on a huge chain inside the kennel. She had given birth to two litters already by a year and a half of age. She herself is still considered a puppy. Luckily she tested heartworm negative . She is recovering from mastitis because she stopped nursing her puppies after leaving the shelter likely from stress. She will be spayed as soon as we are able to. We hope to get her a loving home where she can have a really good life. She is very sweet w people. She is also microchipped. She needs to still be tested w dogs once she is able to relax. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans at no charge in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs. Our website is www.rescuepetsservingvets.org. Our website shows other available dogs and has our adoption application. If interested in meeting or adopting Abigail please text Casey if possible or call 570-441-0083.
