Princessa is one half of a Chihuahua two-pack that recently came to our rescue. Her owners moved to Texas, where there must be a ban on rescue dogs, because Princess, and her housemate, Picky, were left behind at the Brooklyn outpost of NYCACC.%A0 Six years old, Princessa is a leggy beauty. She arrived here weighing 9 pounds, and seems to be at a healthy weight.%A0This slender, pretty girl has an all over light tan coat with white markings, as well as the breed standard Chihuahua apple shaped head. Princessa can seem timid at first, but warms up quickly. Once she connects with her person, she is quite the cuddlebug and loves to give kisses. Princessa is well suited to an active adult home or would thrive with an active senior or recent retiree. She is an energetic, happy girl, who enjoys hanging out at home with her people, or traveling. Princessa is well mannered enough to go anywhere. She could easily join a multi-dog home with other small dogs. She has lived easily with a diverse group of foster dogs, and she is gentle enough to be fine with cats. Princessa is house trained and crate trained.%A0Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home.%A0She is in optimal health, and has been spayed. She has received routine vaccinations and a negative 4dx test. She has been dewormed, and has been on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.%A0 If you are interested in Princessa, please write to Denise at [email protected] or call/text Denise at 860 908 9738 for more info.
