About Hannah

Meet Hannah the expert hugger, sweet lover, and hilarious playmate to her foster brother. She's an approx 2-3 y/o zooming Border Collie mix about 38 lbs (needs to gain a couple pounds). She loves everyone right away, and tries to hug them standing on her hind legs. She was unfamiliar with the leash but foster mom is practicing every day on short walks and a short leash, and she sees good progress. Hannah can chill for hours upstairs with her foster brother while mom works, but then she's ready to wrestle. She's amazing in the crate at night (not a peep from her the whole time). She's been practicing sit/stay/hi paw, with some success. She needs to be supervised at home for the first several days and taken outside right after she wakes up, after each meal, and just regularly for potty breaks. She's learning beautifully to not matk indoors. She's a very quick learner and adorable dog to be around. We were told that she was attacked by another dog at the shelter in Texas which resulted in her facial scarring. She's been through antibiotic treatment and gets ointment applied several times a day, and her sweet face is healing quickly. She'll be an amazing companion for any family (kids of all ages, dogs of both genders, not sure about cats) but preference will be given to someone active who is home a lot, has another young playful dog, and definitely has a secure fenced in yard.
