About Guero

Meet handsome 'Guero' (Spanish for Blonde). He was rescued from the streets of South Texas and is now safe in a Michigan foster home, hoping to find the family of his dreams to adopt him! Guero is a mixed breed, approximately 3 years old and weighs 45 lbs. He has the most captivating yellow eyes! He is people and dog friendly (we have no history with cats). Overall, he has an independent nature and therefore if homed with a companion dog, a more submissive or easy going dog would be ideal. Guero loves going for walks and is excellent on leash. Even if a critter is trying to lure him off track, he does pretty well.? Guero is crate and house trained and a good traveler in the car. He is also fairly quiet - not much of a barker. Like most rescues, he will need some obedience training - but he is eager to please & smart - so he should catch on quickly. Guero is playful, affectionate, good natured and an all-around nice boy. Guero requires a physically fenced yard - he LOVES to do zoomies ... and he is super FAST! Kids 5 and up preferred.
