About Jasper

Guessing at his breed, but very beagle looking Jasper is 45 pounds and 7 years old, not good with dominate dogs, but he is good with submissive dogs, and with kids, but not with cats. This beautiful boy with a shiny tri color coat is fully vetted, healthy, heartworm negative and would be an ideal family dog. He loves to play ball and tug of war, will pull on walks so needs some leash training but does not react to dogs passing. When he needs to go out he stands by the door; not one accident in the foster home! He loves to be outside with his toys and sun himself so a fenced yard best. His foster writes: 'Jasper is a cuddle bug and loves attention and will follow you around everywhere.I trimmed his nails with no problem and he also was good when he got a bath - absolutely no issues with either! Plus he knows how to deeply relax!' (see his pic by the fireplace). This is truly a wonderful family dog! Hound or beagle experience preferred. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year round heartworm prevention. We prefer fenced yard but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
