Current on vaccinations(per owner). Luke is reported to be blind and is loosing his hearing as well. Owner reports 'Luke is a great dog. He is blind and starting to lose his hearing as well. If there is a home that can make him their full time job, that is where he needs to be. Unfortunately, Luke has become scared and has lashed out at all of the family members in the house. We're doing our best but he would be better suited as the only animal in a quiet home.' Owner report: %A0 %A0 Owner reports she is not able to give Luke the care that he needs. Luke has shown food aggression and has bitten her and her roommate. The bite did not break the skin. Owner is working on obedience training with Luke 'Just starting a one on one formal obedience training. Currently attempting to say his name and have him look in our direction and working on scattering food on the floor and telling Luke to find it. This is to try and help him work through his food aggression.' 'He (Luke) shuts down pretty quick when in new places. Having Rori (his fur sister) around has been helpful in the surroundings.' Luke is said to be an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. He is not house broken but he is leash trained. 'Luke knows how to sit. He will go to his crate when told. He is also crate trained. Seems as if his potty training has gone down hill since he was been moved to a separate part of the house from the other dog and cat that live here.' Luke is said to be outgoing and nervous, he gets along with men and women and female dogs. Luke lives with another dog, Rori. Owner reports 'Rori, is Luke's sister. She is a 5 year old pitty mix. They have gotten along well up until his senses started to change in the last month. He has lashed out at her when she has walked near his feeding area.' Luke does not get along with cats. His owner believes Luke would do best as the only animal in a quiet home. 'Luke is a great dog that will steal your heart. He loves the outdoors and gets excited when he gets to run around and play. He really loved the snow last winter. Luke, loves to be around a human he is comfortable with and always wants to greet them when they get home. He also loves his toys. He is not being aggressive because he's a mean dog, he's just scared and needs the best care out there. That just might not be our home unfortunately.' Can anyone help Luke? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
