48 pound, 11-year-old Dale is a wonderful goofy character! Dale was near death when we rescued him, skin and bones and seemed on his way out. A week into fostering and he popped back, playful, enjoying food and toys and especially cuddling! He is great with other dogs, fantastic with people. His foster writes: 'Dale is so loving. I rub his head and give him kisses and he literally melts. into my hands. He's such a good boy! He is going to make a great dog for someone. Dale loves his milk bones and playing with his toy bone (see hilarious video). His condition is vastly improving. Dale is heartworm positive but we are covering his treatment, no problem. He has some visual impairment due to a detached retina and some worn teeth so he prefers high quality moist food. This is a playful soulful boy, one of our favorites. Many years ahead for this boy snatched from the jaws of death! Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year round heartworm prevention. We prefer fenced yard but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
