About Opie

**PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY** Opie is an 8 month old, 20 pound Schnauzer mix boy. He is a happy young lad who loves to play with toys and with any dog who is willing to join in the fun! Opie and his brother Barney (posted separately/NOT a pair) came into the county shelter as strays and no one stepped up for them. We found out they had been put on the euthanasia list for no reason but barking at the staff! They were then saved and brought to Pathways Home Animal Rescue. Since coming into foster care, Opie is settling in well and is a well-mannered youngster who still has lots of puppy energy. Opie is not a chewer but will definitely need some chew toys as most puppies do, to keep him out of mischief! He is eager to learn and eager to please. Opie will make a loyal, playful family companion. He will do well with a family or active adult home where at least one person is home some of the time. Any children in the home should be at least 12 years of age and of a kind, gentle and respectful nature. Because he is still a puppy, he will need a new owner who will continue the typical puppy obedience training so he can learn all the proper manners so he can be the best he can be! Opie is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and will go to his new home with a collar, harness and leash. His adoption fee is $360.00.
