About Pazzo

Meet Pazzo...she is simply magnificent and desperate to begin a life of pure love and security. At just 1 year old, she is already a gentle giant at 103 lbs., and with more growing to do! Pazzo is searching for a calm home with an adopter who has mastiff/large breed experience. Pazzo had a very rough start to life. She lacked proper socialization during the critical puppy stages. The shelter environment is very stressful, especially for fearful animals. She was afraid of everything and everyone upon her arrival, including human touch. Staff and volunteers took things very slowly with Pazzo in order to get her used to touch and to trust new faces. Over many weeks, she has learned to trust and started to be a true 'puppy'! Pazzo is now doing very well being harnessed & leashed for her walks. In the beginning, she was terrified of those things but she now knows it's a positive interaction and she will be going out for fun walks. Pazzo is adjusting to life with one eye and is navigating her surroundings very well. While she can be a bit timid and cautious, she has made tremendous strides. Pazzo loves a good game of tennis ball and has gone on several field trips. She really enjoys the comforts of a warm, loving home (we hope you have a big comfy couch and are prepared to have an XXL lap dog!). In the car, she's a model passenger and in the home she's a mannerly young lady. She has also enjoyed many playdates with other dogs and has found a special friend in 2-year old Benny, who is also available for adoption! Pazzo's new adopter must be willing to offer patience and continue to help her with gaining confidence. She will benefit from continued basic training and socialization. Pazzo would do best in a calm home while she works on her social skills and confidence. Children should be 16 and older. Pazzo will need to meet any potential canine siblings to ensure compatibility.
