About Charlie

Charlie is an energetic hound mix that will be 2 years old in March. His main breeds are coonhound & pitbull. He currently weighs around 60 pounds. Charlie can be nervous meeting new people initially but after a slow intro & a few treats, he is a happy, rambunctious boy. Charlie needs an active person to take him on long hikes. He would love a fenced yard to run & play in but a fence isn't required if you can offer proper exercise. No young children. They tend to make him nervous but the main reason is his clumsy energy. He would certainly knock them down. Charlie needs a firm hand while working on basic manners, such as leash pulling & jumping up to greet people. He gets so excited and doesn't realize how strong he is. Charlie would love another energetic pup to play with. Charlie is very rough when he plays, so a large, playful pup would be best. He has also done well with cats but it's usually up to the cat to decide if they'll accept a new dog in THEIR home. Charlie is neutered, microchipped & current on vaccines.
