About Carmelo

Hi. This is Carmelo. This breaks my heart to do this, he is around 9 years old. Unfortunately my grandmother is sick and she may not be returning home. Carmelo is very friendly with woman and little shy around men and acts skid-dish towards them (not all men) He's also food & treat aggressive toward other animals. Not all the time but he has been aggressive, so he needs to be re-homed in a house without other animals. Upon meeting him, he is a barker but he is very friendly and sweet, he may pee a little when meeting lol overly excited. He has only known one home and spent the majority of his time with my Grandma. He loves to play catch and tug a war with his tire. He also loves the river. He is not very good on a leash he tugs a lot, he is a high energy dog he does listen to basic commands. I'm writing a very long description because I want to make sure whoever is inquiring about possible adoption know about all of his behaviors. I would prefer him to be re-homed with someone who wouldn't mind an occasional visit from me. But I understand if that wouldn't work. I would like to make sure that if he adopted and things do not work out, that I'm contacted first, this is a ver hard decision for me to make and if for some reason things don't work out I would like to have him back. I just unfortunately have two cats and though he is not always aggressive towards cats he has been. Please contact me if interested.
