Willow was emaciated when we rescued her and very terrified. She has come a long way, but she is still timid, nine months old, 40 pounds, and many things scare her from kids playing ball, to cars passing by. Willow needs a calm home, no kids (too scary), fine with dogs but she would be happiest as your one and only so she could get all your focus and comfort when scary things arrive. Cars and loud noises scare her so she would do best in a quiet setting as she learns that noise cannot hurt her. A high fenced yard a must since she is a hound! If you love the gentle fawn-like nature of hounds and their need to be close to you, you will love this sweet gal. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org under heading Forms. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
