She is fast, strong, agile and athletic. This is not a breed who will be content to lay on the couch day after day, she wants to explore, play, and love on her hoomans! Hazel is very loving and lovable. She will actually hug you (I'm talking about 'laying next to you with her arms around your and her head in your lap' kind of hug!). Hazel loves to be physically close to her person but she has done beautifully with sleeping in her crate overnight. Hazel stays in her crate during the day as needed without any issues. She will get your attention when she wants to play by following you around or pawing at you but will happily accept a toy while you finish your morning cup of coffee! She LOVES her toys, the squeakier the better! Hazel gets so excited when she sees us reach for her harness! She loves going on walks and exploring new places. Hazel is house-trained and will stand by the door when she needs to go out. Sometimes she takes a little time before she goes (she starts exploring and playing) so be patient and give her a few minutes before you bring her back inside. Hazel is smart and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement with praise (and definitely won't say no to treats!) She has learned basic commands such as sit and come. She loves interactive games like fetch and has endeared herself to her foster sisters. Hazel is SO precious - and she is incredibly deserving of a loving home where she will be safe and properly cared for, for the rest of her life!%A0 KNOWN HISTORY - Hazel has spent the first year of her life living on a short chain, in the blazing Oklahoma heat. She had no shade, and most of the time no fresh water. She was VERY skinny and had horrific ear infections when she was first brought into rescue. She has gained her weight, her ears are healthy, and she's ready to find a wonderful family who will show her that there is so much more to life than a 6' chain. *** PLEASE READ! *** To learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, or apply to adopt - YOU MUST LEAVE THIS SITE and visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com
