If Soto were a character in a book, he would be the dog in Charles Dickens' HARD TIMES. This 9-year-old, neutered gray & white, mixed breed was discovered by a good samaritan, laying on a loading dock and bleeding from a mass on his neck. When Animal Control found him, he was in rough shape. But since he arrived July 29th at North Central, the mass has been removed surgically, and he's recovered to the point he was recently taken on a short walk to enjoy the fresh air & 'smell the grass'. The 80-pound survivor has alopecia, worn teeth and a mass on his elbow. He is labeled 'Major Medical' and needs t be seen by a vet asap. His big heart-melting eyes beg for help in finding treatment and a home where he can be loved and treated with respect. He's a strong dog and will grow stronger. He has collected one pledge and more are likely to follow. SOTO's been through hard times, but they can end with an adoption or rescue. His ID#A2043276 at North Central. Free him soon!
