About Rex

Hello everyone! I'm Rex, a sweet, energetic, playful 5.5-pound tricolor Chihuahua mix fella who was born in August 2020. I have an adorable crook in my tail, but the vet checked it out, and all's fine. I'm great with everyone -- adults and kids -- and everything, including small dogs and the occasional cat. I'll do best with lots of close family contact. I'm a friendly, affectionate, social but 'needy' dude who likes to stay right by my human's side. Cuddling in someone's lap is my favorite spot and where I require plenty of quality time. I'm a high-energy boy, so I'll need an active family who's ready to engage me with balls, tug-ropes, or mini-Frisbees. Chihuahuas are touted as 'the tiny dogs with huge personalities' (who can rule the home like a little Napoleon without proper training). Be sure not to make the mistake of thinking, since I'm a little lap dog, that I don't require training and exercise. My size makes me an ideal apartment dog, but I relish a little daily exercise for my mental and physical well-being. I'm proud how well I do with my harness and leash! Nothing would make me happier than for you to invest your time and energy into treating me like a big dog. A Good Samaritan found me wandering the streets all alone with no identification and brought me to Miss Donna to find me a wonderful new home. In case you're looking for a bundle of love the size of a minute, I'm your boy! If you come to meet me today, I hope that you'll take me home in your purse! Rex is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
