About Martha

Martha is a big sweetheart and is really quick with kisses.�%A0 She started off a bit timid and would cower when we walked too quickly toward her, but has�%A0really come out of her shell fast.�%A0 She literally wants belly rubs and petting around the clock and seems as if she had never received the attention she deserves.�%A0 She wants to be close and will lay across your lap and nudge you or paw at you to be petted. She is 1.5 years old and a mixed breed. She was in death row at the Duplin County Animal Shelter due to a full shelter and no space. She has an appointment to be spay and she has also been microchipped, received her vaccinations, dewormed and was heart worm tested (negative). She takes treats ever so gently, and is fine being around kids and other dogs.�%A0 She is protective of her food and bones but that's probably because she went without on the streets.�%A0 She has the prettiest green eyes, that�%A0big pittie smile, and walks easily on a leash.�%A0 She likes to go out and run with the other dogs in the foster home for play time as well. She is really good about being kennelled at night and hasn't had any accidents in the kennel or the home.
