About Athena

The pretty gal is Athena. She will be 6 in July. We were told she is a German Shepherd - but we think she probably has a whole bunch of Flat Coated Retriever in her. She has a beautiful black coat that just shines. She lost her home due to illness in the family. She would be amazing as the only dog in the home. She is selective on who she wants to be friends with that hve four legs. She is housebroken and knows her basic commands. She is working hard on her leash walking - definitely a harness works better with her. No cats. She does great with adults and kids, however, we have seen some issues with other dogs especially when not properly introduced so we are recommending she be the only dog in the home and have an owner who can control her to avoid her going after another dog. A fenced in yard will be needed for her. Her $100.00 adoption fee includes spay, heartworm check, current shots and current preventatives as well as micro-chip.
