We are sad to rehome our 4 year old husky. She is typical of the breed (very active, loves to run and dig, 'talks' at you), is very sweet, gentle, great with kids (live with 7&10 yr old but great with toddlers too) and other dogs but has an exceedingly high prey drive (for all other animals small to large). She routinely kills moles, voles, rabbits and birds but will chase large animals like cows as well. She got out of our yard twice and ended up killing two livestock which is why we have to rehome her for the neighbors or face the alternative. While stubborn, like all Huskies, she is trainable and comes when she is called while out on hikes and such & walks on a leash. She gets on with other dogs and tends to be low key alpha. She is beautiful and gets lots of compliments, is around 60lbs, loves the outdoors (will actually routinely choose to sleep outside overnight, even in the winter) including swimming (like a fish). She doesn't blow her coat so hair shedding is not too bad.
