Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Dozer Age: 3-4 years old Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix, 90#, large Sex: Male, not neutered Location: Greenwood County, SC Vet Information: Dozer is not current on vaccinations and is not neutered. He is completely blind. It is possible that he has a yeast infection beginning to occur. Owner Information: Dozer was found as a stray by his owner about a year ago. After moving and family changes, no one has the ability to care for Dozer. He's an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. Dozer is housebroken and leash trained. He knows cues for sit and wait, and he takes treats gently from hands with a soft mouth. Dozer's owner describes him as an outgoing boy! While he can be nervous and shy, Dozer is good with men and women, and male and female dogs. Dozer shows some fear aggression at times. A stray dog growled at him once, and Dozer did so in return. He's had instances where cats have struck him, and he has reacted. Dozer does play well with other animals, though, as long as they do not growl at all or hurt him. He growls if his owner tries to take things away from him that he should not have. However, Dozer has no bite history. When his owner moved, Dozer was traumatized by the twelve hour car ride and growls when his owner tries to put him in the car. He is crate trained so he is more easily moveable in a larger vehicle, but his owner has a compact car. His owner would like you to know: 'I found him, and I tried to find somewhere more suitable for him. I don't know how to care for him correctly and build that trust with him. He is very sweet and just needs the right home. He is independent in the sense that he's not big on too much affection but loves chest and back scratches (he will let you know). His favorite snack is raw broccoli. He loves to follow you around and lay at your feet.' Does anyone have room for sweet Dozer?
