If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, this Sam is the Samwise to your Frodo! He is loyal, loving, and will stay by your side (once he warms up to you, of course)! Fall in love with Sam's golden eyes and adorable cow-print! Sam is incredibly sweet and attentive to his people. He gives the best hugs and kisses. He can be a bit shy, but he warms up quickly to people when he realizes he is safe. Sam has a little bit of a hard time sharing attention, so he would prefer to be the only dog in your life. He wants ALL of your attention! Sam's ideal home would be one as the only pup where he has all of the toys, treats, and pets to himself. He gets along with other dogs, but on his terms. Sam does well with sharing toys with his foster siblings, but still needs proper supervision if redirection is needed. Sam had a bit of a tough start at life and still needs reassurance that he is safe from his people sometimes. A yard with a 5ft tall fence would be best but not a deal breaker if his family is active and committed to several daily outings. Sam is learning leash manners and is doing really well. He likes to be reassured on his walks with a little head pat and positive reinforcement to help him know he is doing good! Sam is very attentive to his walker and loves lots of attention all of the time! Like any new puppy he will need to learn boundaries and commands through positive reinforcement training and consistency. Sam goes out several times a day not just to play but for potty breaks; he is house trained. He is crate trained. He takes his meals in his crate as well as sleeps in it at night. He is a little nervous during car rides and likes a lot of reassurance with lots of love. All of these things are new to Sam so his foster family is being patient with him and helping him learn about his new world. Sam is responding well to positive reinforcement, but the best reward for Sam is LOVE!! He just wants all of the attention! DOB 1125/21 and is about 35lbs currently; Bulldog mix. As part of Sam's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vac As part of Sam's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
