About Cookie

Or maybe a ginger snap. A chocolate chip? Whatever, I am a delicious thing and I'm looking for my new home. I DO HAVE SOME VERY STRICT REQUIREMENTS. No small children. I'd prefer a home with no other pets, though a calm, quiet large male dog could be OK - I'm just not really into playing with other dogs. Now, playing with people? That can get wild and interesting real quick! My foster mom says absolutely NO wrestling, tugging, or anything else that gets me wound up because then I lose my mind (Huh? Me?) and start barking and leaping and chewing on your arm. I need a securely fenced yard to play in because I Iove to do zoomies. I need an experienced adopter who can train me using positive methods only because I am super responsive to training with food rewards and I love to learn new things, like self control and how to behave politely. I'm still working on having a manicure - got the pedicure end of things down pat though. I love to snuggle on the couch with you, but haven't quite figured out how to do it right, so sometimes it's more of a struggle than a snuggle, but I get there eventually. I just need some time and LOTS of patience. Fun fact? Wood is DELICIOUS and I do my best to snag some whenever and wherever I find it, so I need an alert adopter too - somebody who will be watching out for me because I'm super quick. Like a flash! I'm housebroken, up to date on all my shots, spayed and microchipped and currently residing in Tennessee where I anxiously await the college football season. I'm only about 3 �%BD years old so nowhere near my expiration date either. I have also completed treatment for heartworm - boy, that was a real drag - but I'm all better now! All that's missing is a family to love me. It has to be a very special family because I deserve one after all I've been through, so please apply and my people will get back to your people and maybe we can open a bakery.
