LOBO (#A2037491) looks like a lumbering lummox. Yet, despite his size, he is one of the easiest dogs to walk on leash. LOBO was surrendered to the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, for allegedly biting the smaller dog in the home (back in 2019?). LOBO is 6-years-old and was with the 'family' his entire life. (I can't help but wonder if the smaller dog was in the home before or after LOBO.) The times LOBO has been taken from the kennel and walked down the corridor of barking dogs, and when there have been dogs in the adjacent play yard, he has shown no aggression whether the dogs are small or large. From the information provided by the 'family' in the Dog Interview, LOBO is an incredible pet. (Again, I can't help but wonder if they tried all options to be able to keep him in the home, i.e. separating the dogs; bringing in a trainer, etc.) Moving on, LOBO needs a real family to open their heart and home to him. It appears that he is housebroken; he is gentle and affectionate (once he gets to realize he'll be treated kindly). He has simple needs: a couple of walks a day (his waddle when he walks in adorable); a diet to help him lose a few pounds; and a cushy dog bed (indoors, of course, because even if you think your residence is too small, it's probably much larger than the kennel he's in). Please Share this gentle giant so he gets out of the shelter sooner rather than later.
