About Scout

MPMR requires that all dogs in the home are up-to-date on vaccines unless there are medical reasons, on heartworm prevention, and spayed or neutered. Currently in Statham, GA Scout: 1.5 yr. old red Min Pin/Chihuahua male, 14 lbs. Fully vetted Seeking an experienced foster or adopter due to being quite fearful because of a lack of socialization. This little guy is not easy to photograph. Hopefully we will have more pictures soon. Scout gets along with other dogs and ignores cats. Due to having lived in a 4 by 6 pen without much human contact, new things are frightening to him. A secure fenced yard is a requirement without exception and at this time, we do not recommend for him to go into a home with young children. Scout needs someone who will go slowly with him and allow him time to acclimate on his terms. He is progressing with people he knows, but it will take much time, patience, and understanding of fearful dogs for this boy to blossom into the dog we know he can be.. Scout is working on his house training and is making progress. He may need a belly band in a new home at first to avoid marking.
