Max! He is about a year old and just under 60 lbs. He has had his bath and is looking quite dapper!!! He gets along really well with the staff at Paws and did warm up to our volunteers who went to visit him yesterday. He is doing a little better on leash, and is definitely the typical chow - stubborn, a little standoffish, and has a bit of a dominant streak. His adopter or foster home would ideally not have a dominant male in the home and will have experience with chows. He has done well meeting new people at the vet and in boarding. We did find out he is very hind-end sensitive - a toy accidentally touched his bottom and he shrunk to the ground. Poor baby! He is in boarding now, and we would love to find a permanent foster as soon as possible. If you're able to foster him, please fill out a foster application here: https://form.jotform.us/82037601684153 If you want to adopt Max, fill out an adoption application here: https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142 Max is currently in boarding in Houston but can be transported by way of professional transportation companies for a cost of about $250-$400 depending on distance and the company used.
