PHOENIX, AZ-A4592690 CANOLI IS AN ADOPTABLE, 6 YEAR OLD FEMALE CHOW AND SHELTER VOLUNTEERS CONTACTED US YESTERDAY TO HELP FIND HER A LOVING, PATIENT HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE BEFORE SHE IS KILLED. The volunteer said., 'I had her out twice, and she is a very easy dog. She takes treats nicely and allows easy leash placement. She was reluctant to be petted, but I also did not push her. When it is time to leave the yard, she stands patiently at the gate. I call her The Queen she is non reactive to other dogs, and also does not acknowledge them when walking by.' The shelter notes state similar, that she does not mind walking past other barking dogs and just ignores them. Sounds like a typical chow. Not surprisingly, she originally came into the shelter shy and scared after being dumped and having a catch pole used on her which injured her muzzle a bit so understandably she was a bit more reactive, but shelter volunteers said she does not bark now or lunge. The gave us really nice videos that we posted on facebook, and a really cute underbite. She also seems to be potty trained.
