About Jorah

Adoption Fee: $350
Border Collie
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

This is Jorah, a purebred merle Border Collie who was born October, 2020. He weighs about 50 pounds. Jorah knows a lot of commands: Sit, stay, wait, shake, high five, roll over, come, and speak. He also knows the names of many different toys and can even open doors with leaf handles. He is house and crate trained. Jorah is good with adults but isn't a fit for kids. A recent incident when there was a lot of play excitement ended up with a bite to the little girl who was on the ground playing with him. There were no punctures and this is his only bite, but we think no kids is best. Jorah is good with dogs, large and small. He does prefer dogs who aren't pushy. He lives with another dog but would be fine as an only. Jorah will need an active home that keeps him busy. He will fetch endlessly: ball or frisbee. A walk and a trip to the park aren't enough for this guy. He is good on leash and in the car. An active person or couple will appreciate that he can keep up with them. Jorah had happy tail from needing more activity, which caused it to have to be amputated. He now has a 4 inch nub of a tail. He also doesn't like people watching him eat or taking his food bowl, and neither do I! Thats easy to manage..let him eat in peace. Jorah is very smart, and very sweet. He follows me around like a shadow. Jorah is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Simi Valley, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
