Stewie will be required to have a Physically fenced yard - NO cats - No small children in his forever home! Meet Stewie. Do you know any cute little dogs that just instantly love EVERYONE? Well, that's NOT this guy. (At least the INSTANTLY love everyone part.) We admit, he is pretty darn cute, though. Stewie has a very typical, 10 pound dog personality that is best described as 'Stranger Danger.' Stewie who is now around 3 years old, didn't have the best start in life. However, he found a fantastic foster home that has worked with him for some time now. Once you are a member in solid standing of Stewie's inner circle, you are golden! He loves with his entire little heart and gives the best snuggles. He really bonds well with his people. In fact, Stewie has been getting better and better with strangers. He can be pretty much ok with anyone with a little time. We recommend no small children with Stewie. Some other info about him; Stewie has been good with most other dogs, but is fairly indifferent. He would do OK with a dog that co-exists, but is not necessarily hyper. He can be dominant with cats. We would recommend a home with NO CATS. This is the primary reason he is searching for a new home this time around! Stewie could thrive as an only pet to soak up all the attention. Stewie is crate trained and has done well with potty training in the house. He may initially need a belly band as he gets used to a new environment, The most important thing for Stewie is to find his people that will be wiling to work with him and let him trust at his own speed. At this point, he has never bitten anyone, but we take great care to find the right home for each of our dogs to minimize risk and meet their needs. He simply needs someone who understands these personality types and know that they will eventually have the most snuggly, adorable dog that will love you to pieces. Stewie needs an environment without a lot of people coming and going and no small children. We are going to require a physically fenced yard in his home. He can be fast and darty. Stewie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We plan to have a couple of meet and greets as part of his adoption process.
