Pepper is a 3YO Staffordshire who came into the shelter as a stray on 5/27/22. She weighs 42 lbs. Legend has it that Pepper gains a spot for every time she fetches the ball. You'll notice that she's not covered in spots, she just has a light peppering of them‰'Ű|that's because she likes to keep fetch interesting by surprising you with whether she'll actually fetch or not. Sometimes she'll run after the ball and immediately bring it back to you. Others she would rather have you chase her around to get the ball back. If she's feeling really silly, sometimes she'll run after the ball, then tur right back around and run back to you empty handed - pretending like she didn't know she was supposed to pick it up. Every now and then she'll just straight up ignore that you even threw the ball! But funniest of all is when she's in fake out mode - she'll run after the ball, sniff it, then start coming back to you without the ball‰'Ű|then she'll reconsider halfway back and turn around and pick the ball up and bring it back to you. You would swear she's laughing when she pulls that one! This girl has got personality in spades. She says predictability is too basic and boring. She'd much rather keep you guessing! Pepper is a very happy girl who always has the biggest smile on her face. She tries really hard to make you smile too. In her mission to make sure you're having fun, Pepper can get a little overzealous and jump up on you. She's especially prone to this if you have a ball she wants to play with. She's just a playful and energetic girl. If you have her attention - meaning if you have a treat - she'll sit on command, but Pepper prefers to spend most of her time running around and playing. After she burns off some energy she loves to be pet.
