About Faith & Banchee

Adoption Fee: 390
Australian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Introducing Faith and Banchee (aka Casper), 2 years old and 11 months old, mother and son. Faith and Banchee are both blue merles, but Banchee has a lot more white These two were picked up from the Animal Control in Virginia Beach and are a bonded pair. As such, they need to be adopted together. They are extremely loving and snuggly and want to be right with you most of the time, typical velcro Aussies. Both are very small, Faith is 24 pounds and Banchee is 19 pounds but he could use a little weight. These two are COVID dogs, under socialized and wary of strangers and other dogs and cats. However, they do warm up with treats when meeting new people, it just takes some time. They will cry when you leave them for a few minutes but settle down nicely, although they would not be good apartment dogs. Faith is a medium energy dog that enjoys walking with our other dogs. She is getting better on a leash however she typically pulls like a sled dog. Luckily, she is so small it isn't too hard to deal with. She knows how to sit and would love to learn a few tricks as she is a super smart dog and very athletic. She is protective of Banchee and watches out for him. Banchee is a double merle who has decent eyesight with a little light sensitivity but is deaf. He will need a fenced in yard and will always need to be leashed for his safety when outside of the home. He is incredibly snuggly and very mellow for his age. He also likes his walks and is housebroken and not too destructive as long as he has regular walks. Banchee likes to sleep in a crate with the door left open but both dogs prefer to sleep with their humans at night. He does not like other dogs or cats. He will do best with teenagers and older as he gets startled easily. They will need continued wok on socialization with people and other dogs and leash/general training. They want to please their humans. Both Faith and Banchee love to play ball. They tend to always stick together. Faith can jump extremely high so the fence should be 5ft or higher. Both dogs are up to date on shots, chipped, neutered/spayed and heartworm negative. Banchee has seen a canine optometrist and will be working on getting used to Rex Specs goggles to protect his eyes. If this adorable mother and son appear to be the perfect fit for your home, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application Our fee for adult PB dogs is $390, and we are waiving the fee for her son Banchee.
