About DJ

Hi! I'm DJ. I was found abandoned in the woods, cut up, & malnourished. I was taken in by a lovely couple with two other dogs, oh boy! They think I was abused or neglected & was either dumped or let go. I was able to get neutered & up to date on all of my medical needs including vaccinations. My friends have been working with me over the past few months on basic commands, crate training, house training, & socialization around people and animals. I am VERY shy & timid around new people and new animals at first, but I am not aggressive at all. I don't have a mean bone in my body!! I might just shake and try to hide. However, once I am comfortable, my goofy personality comes out and steals your heart. I learn quickly & will do anything for a treat or some praise! I love being called a good boy. I think I am just over a 1 year old and I am a full-blooded American Staffordshire Terrier. I am looking for a family who loves to cuddle, play and have fun! I need to be active so I need either a yard or someone who is able to take me on daily walks.
