About Zehra

Zehra is a beautiful 2 yr old female spayed aussie/lab mix. She comes from a backyard breeder in Wittmann, my dad got her to be the family dog. She is a very good and smart dog when being given the chance. She can and wants to be obedient and learn to please her masters. However she is not being given that chance. She spends most of her time outside in a yard with no mental stimulation or attention. Being a high energy dog, she finds her own ideas of fun and as a result she has resorted to killing chickens. It has gotten her in trouble, with 4 total offenses of slaughtering livestock and the family is frustrated and taking their anger out on her, mistreating her severely. I will be trying to aquire Zehra as I live separately from my family. However I am unable to keep her for long so she will also be staying at a boarding facility until she is rescued or adopted. Zehra is very fearful of strangers and it takes her a long time and a lot of effort to trust someone. She needs someone that is WILLING to work with her and break her out of her fearful shell. Once you get past that, she is the most loyal and wonderful dog. She needs an active lifestyle. She's good with other dogs and good with cats. I would not trust her around livestock and she does NOT like kids. She prefers women to men but has shown she can be calm and content with men present. She does not like direct eye contact, sudden movement, or being reached out at. She has never bitten a person and has never shown she wants to. She needs work. But she needs a home ASAP. My parents want to end her life themselves for what she's done. She needs a rescuer!
