Oliver is a sweet Staffy mix that is looking for a forever home. He was found as a stray and has been with us for about 3-4 years. He has been training while with us and performs commands well. He knows sit, heel, stay, lay down, shake, and a few others. He has been working on leash walking and is getting better every day although he still pulls a little at the beginning of walks. Oliver needs a family that can give him time, attention, affection, and exercise. HE MUST BE THE ONLY DOG! This is imperative as he has shown aggression to other dogs in the past. He has had some interaction with cats, however we have noted that he does play a little rough for their liking (mainly because he is so much bigger than them) and this can be mistaken as aggression if the cat does not respond well. Oliver loves to cuddle up and is very affectionate with his people. He is very food and affection motivated. He is a pretty hefty boy and sometimes doesn't realize his size and therefore would do best in a home with no small children. We have an 11 year old and Oliver has knocked him over twice on accident while playing outside (no injuries, just a few laughs). He is pretty vocal as is common with this breed. Some people may misunderstand it as aggression but those that know Staffies know that they like to talk and sing. Oliver needs someone that is knowledgeable on the breed and can be patient with him. He is potty trained and crate trained. Oliver will thrive in a single-dog home, with no small children, where he can get all the affection, focus, and time that he deserves. He would make an incredible best friend to a responsible person that knows the Staffy breed.
