About Remi

Meet Remi! His favorite thing to do is running around in an open yard/field with all the smells and chasing balls. His second favorite is a tie between walks and puppie ice cream! Remi is a sweet and gentle puppy who loves to lick the sweat off of your face after a workout but also is scared of things like vacuum cleaners and paper bags. We love Remi endlessly but he also comes with what we call 'special needs.' Remi's fears can sometimes escalate when he is touched (mostly by people he doesn't know well), and can lead to nipping if you are not respectful of his space. We typically leave him be and he'll come over and cuddle with us and be with us when he wants to and we just let him cuddle and avoid cuddling him back and that is our special love. When he is scared or when he is happy to see you, he'll go in between your legs and that is when we are allowed to touch him by giving him booty pats. Remi can sometimes be territorial with certain things, so we are usually careful when taking food away from him and simply make him move away from the food, or we will push the food bowl over with our foot and pick it up that way. All of Remi's 'special needs' are very manageable and he just needs to find the right home. We have people in and out quite often at our house and we will soon have small children, which is why we have made this difficult decision. I am happy to talk through anything more in-depth. Remi is truly such a sweetie - he just struggles a little and needs parents that can support and love him through that. He has been professionally trained and the trainer has even offered to provide a couple of complimentary classes to help his new owners get up to speed on Remi's training.
