About Roscoe

This stunning red guy is Roscoe a.k.a Roscoe P Coltrane ( from the Dukes of Hazzard). He will be 2 years old on July 11, 2022. He weighs just under 50 pounds. He has a docked tail. Roscoe knows his commands: sit, come, place, quiet, leave it ( work in progress), off, get down, give, and down (work in progress). He is house and crate trained. He eats his meals in his crate. He also knows how to use a dog door. Roscoe is a ton of fun. He loves to fetch and hopes his new home feels the same way about this game. �%A0He even jumps to catch the ball as you release it before it has a chance to bounce. When the game includes the flirt pole, he can jump at least 4 feet straight up to catch. Click on the red YouTube button to watch Roscoe play. Roscoe is great on leash and ok in the car. He would be great for outdoor adventures. He loves to run and would appreciate a home with a yard�'�|.or a running partner. Roscoe has been ok with the dogs he has been around. He has been ok with a visiting Yorkie. He did well in a group training class, too. At the dog park, he tries to herd other dogs, so he definitely isn't a dog park kind of guy. Other dogs don't like that game. As for small animals like birds and cats, he will absolutely chase them. Roscoe is nice with people he meets, including at busy parks. At home, Roscoe is a typical herder. He can be protective. He has been trained to look to his person when he knows someone comes to the door. For frequent visitors, once the excitement of someone coming over wanes, he is okay to socialize with guests. Due to his home protective nature, any new home should have no kids or teens. Roscoe is a loyal, loving guy with his people. He loves affection. He knows he's not allowed on the couch in his current home, so he tries to sneak with his front paws ( because technically he's not on the couch)�'�|and then looks up at you and kinda falls to his side for belly rubs. If he does come up on your lap, he immediately falls to his back for belly rubs. He also likes ro smell your breath! What a nut. He will also occasionally talk back with a little grumble which is super cute. Roscoe is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Corona, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
