About Mazie

Meet Miss Mazie, a sweet and shy southern gal who recently arrived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from Alabama. She is estimated to be between 6-8 months, and her breed mix is unknown. The best way to describe her 30 pound figure is a smaller version of a Shepherd face/ears on a Corgi type of short body. After some initial time to warm up and get comfortable, Mazie comes to life with sweetness and playfulness. She is initially shy meeting new people. She enjoys life with other dogs as long as she doesn't have to share her dinner, and life with cats is unknown at this time. She is fostered with several dogs, large and small, and they each eat their meals in their crates without issue and get along otherwise. Speaking of the crate, she's super comfortable in hers, especially during transitions throughout her rescue journey. She's quiet and lays down and goes in willingly with the door open. Mazie is spayed and current on yearly vaccinations and monthly preventatives. She's ready to find her furever family and is hoping it might be you! Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
