About Chico

This guy is one of a kind. His name is Chico, but he goes by Oi! He is a 3 year old, 65 pounds Cattledog mix who came from a reservation. He happened to need a safe place to land before finding a forever home, and a Good Samaritan stepped up. Chico knows all of his basic commands: sit, lay down, and sometimes stay. He is house trained, but isn't a fan of the crate. Chico is a social guy. He loves people, even kids. He also loves other dogs, large and small. Chico is a ton of fun. He is an active guy who needs either a yard or someone who is out and about a lot and wants a dog pal to keep up with them. He is a total off leash beach boy (click on the red YouTube button to watch him at the beach). Chico is good on leash and can pull a bit when excited. He is good in the car. He is the perfect age: lots of energy and just past the 'terrible teen' years (1-2 yrs old). Chico is absolutely best friend material. After all of the fun is done for the day, this sweet boy loves to cuddle and get plenty of pets. He is also a funny, vocal guy who will talk to you some. The person who ends up with this one of a kind boy will be lucky. Chico is neutered and located in Oceanside. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
