This is Lilo, an Australian Cattledog who was born in November, 2021. She weighs 32 pounds. Lilo has a ton of focus and treat awareness, so is a good learner. She already knows sit, leave it, wait, get water (reminder to take a drink during play), and house. She is house and crate trained. Lilo hasn't met a lot of people but has been nice with the ones she has met. She is definitely a nippy puppy, so no small kids for this girl. Lilo is good with other dogs and, in typical Cattledog fashion, will get snarky with other females if allowed to. Older dogs or dogs who don't appreciate pups will find her to be too much. As for cats, cat siblings must be dog savvy and know not to run. Lilo is good on the leash and in the car. She loves water, chomping water as it comes out of the hose. She will even walk into the shower! Lilo likes to fetch and she loves to run and jump to catch the ball. She will go to town on a herding ball (click on the red YouTube button to watch a short clip of her playing). Lilo would be amazing for performance sports. She needs a home who knows how to keep a herder busy mentally. She is very clever, quite active, and poised for adventure. For that right home, she is worth the work. She enthusiastically bounds into whatever activity you have planned for her. If you have not owned a high drive dog and/or a herding breed before, you will not be a fit. Likewise, this girl isn't a match for a home who wants a pup to grow up with the kids. She is not a starter herder and will require a home with experience. Lilo is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in SoCal. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
