About falco

falco is an incredibly tender and fun dog. once he is comfortable with humans, he is wonderful to be around. i (his owner) feel very safe and comfortable in his presence. that being said he has fear responses bigger than I feel equipped to handle and am really hoping he can find a human who can meet him with the skills and patience to give him the life he so deserves. as it stands his stranger danger has led to herding and some biting. happy to describe more to an interested party. i want to believe someone is out there who can give him a good home. in my understanding of him thus far- the ideal home would be one with a quieter lifestyle with consistent residents (the coming and going of house guests is tough for him, but in time he bonds beautifully with anyone he knows he can trust.) he would ideally have plenty of open space to run about so he could have time off leash (he does well on leash - i just love being able to give him both.) i would be willing to drive him to his new home. i am also open to exploring providing a place for him to stay if his new family does need to travel from time to time. he really is a special and very fun and loving guy. edit : i had previously indicated that i would euthanize him, and he has continued to show so much improvement and effort that i do not think that is the right path. that being said, between my work and friends visiting, i know there is a better fit for him and i want to support him finding that.
