About CUDA here over a year

American Bulldog / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

CUDA #A1971629 2 years old/57.3 lbs. Arrived over a year ago as a stray on 4/5/21 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR NEW HOPE RESCUE. Medical Notes: HEART MURMUR Grade 3/5. Volunteer: 'When I look at Cuda, formerly a stray, now a longtime resident of South LA shelter, I think of LA poet Charles Bukowski and his quote - 'Dogs and Angels are not far apart.' Despite whatever hardship he endured, Cuda is still a sweetheart (the angelic part of the quote).' Proof positive is that Cuda readily returns the volunteers' affection when he's taken outside (sadly, not often enough). This two-year-old, 57-pound boy has all the energy and excitement you want to see in a young dog, but he's not getting the attention or stimulation that he needs. He will 'sit' when he's leashed, and he walks confidently on leash, but after nine months of near-isolation in his kennel, it's hard to say what he knows, has forgotten or needs to learn. We do know he deserves to find a home, with a person to love and care for him. Help Cuda by sharing! Call to make an appointment, or visit on weekends when open to walk-ins, to meet him. Call 888-452-7381 with Cuda's ID # or go to to make an appointment to meet him. Visit the shelter on SAT or SUN from 11am-5pm when the shelters are open to walk-ins. Cuda is currently at South LA/Chesterfield Sq. Animal Services Center -shelter contact Diana, 213) 264-8996 E: [email protected]
