About Piglet

Piglet is an adorable little dog and we are so excited to help her find her forever home. However, she is a fearful dog who takes time to get to know new people. She has already been returned once from adoption due to her fear related behavior, and we want to be sure the next family will commit to her for life. Piglet can be fear aggressive if people do not respect her boundaries when first meeting her, but if you go slow, offer bribes and treat her with kindness she will soon be your new best friend! Piglet LOVES other dogs so if you have a dog, she will bond to you even faster! She has had a difficult life, including living in a backyard breeding situation, so housebreaking is an ongoing challenge for her, but with consistency and a reliable routine, she does so much better! Once you are a part of Piglet's trusted circle, you are accepted for life! She remembers her people and is bomb proof with them allowing them to handle her completely once she trusts them. All she asks for is a slow introduction and she is more than worth that effort and patience. Once she has bonded to her family and adjusted to her home she can be protective of that space, so she would likely be happiest in a home that does not have many regular visitors.
