About Billy

Age: Roughly 2 years old. Adopted in May 2021 from Riverside Animal Shelter. Behavior: Extremely smart, food motivated, and would respond extremely well to consistent training and structured routine. He does resource guard his owner (me) but we trained him to be comfortable with my roommate quickly! Leash reactive with dogs and strangers. He pulls me around on the leash, but his dog walkers never had any issues with him. He had 4 different walkers and they were all positive experiences. Training: House trained, knows sit, stay, down, wait, leave it [in a controlled setting, not on the streets], boop (He'll put his nose in anything), paw, and bang bang. We had 2 private trainers, and he passed obedient level 1 and is currently on level 2 at the Zoom Room. Adopter will get to keep my remaining credits for extra classes. Great recall with E-collar (mostly use vibrate mode). He's a healthy, high-energy dog that needs an EXPERIENCED adopter who can provide CONSISTENT training, structure, and directions. IMPORTANT: I'm willing to keep him until there's a suitable adopter. If this is your first dog, please don't apply! He really need someone that's experienced and have the time and dedication to help him reach his full potential. If for whatever reason he doesn't work out, I NEED you to send him back to me. I cannot send him to a shelter again!!
