EXTREMELY URGENT - EUTH LISTED FOR 7 AM 5/16/22 - CLOVIS, NM GORGEOUS CREAM CHOW' 'BUBBA' on EUTH LIST FOR MONDAY 5/16, HI KILL SHELTER IS FULL, need commitment 7 am ID 73924- PLS HELP US FIND AN ADOPTER, FOSTER AND OR RESCUE AND PLEDGES ASAP, need local help too!! BUBBA - ID #73924 Clovis Shelter, Clovis, NM Help! Bubba in on the euthanasia list for Monday, May 16th and needs a commitment by 7 am that day from a rescue (we can refer you rescue partners if needed). Sadly, he IS set for euthanasia on Monday, and the shelter has said no extension will be granted as they are over full. There is just no room, some animals are not even in kennels right now. We are desperately looking for a foster or foster to adopt Bubba that we can refer to a willing rescue to save him. Most rescues need a home for a dog to go. We also need a local place to board or temporary hold him until transport could be arranged, since most people are not near this shelter. We will try to connect all parties to facilitate his rescue or adoption. From what we learned, Bubba appears to have sadly been kept outside in a yard, probably his whole life, and would escape (probably through no fault of him, but his owner). His owner therefore surrendered him, and reported he was 5.5 years old and good with kids, playful, friendly, but also protective and dominant. They said he requires exercise, but it is unclear if he was ever walked. Although they said he did not like dogs or cats, that may have been because he was likely not properly introduced or socialized and would just get out and is hungry, as he is very thin. We just obtained video where he is right next to a male pit bull with no aggression or reaction to him, he just stands there next to him. He allowed petting on his head. Bubba was also never neutered so this would need to be arranged, and we can try to refer you to a rescue group and local people to assist. They may also be able to assist with some transport to nearby states for approved homes, or fosters. But a foster or home and or rescue asap is needed though to save his life. If you have any interest to foster, adopt, help in some way, or can just pledge towards his rescue and expenses, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with his placement. Adopters and rescues may also contact the shelter directly at (575) 769-7893, 575-763-9461, or after-hours email [email protected] and [email protected] . Ask for ID 73924. However, please note the shelter in unlikely to be able to assist with any transport, vetting or a referral to a rescue or rescue people to help (so that is why it is imperative to also contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Connection who can try to connect you to parties who can help). We will also post further updates and video on our facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/1968091010140112/posts/3303613339921199/?d=n.
