About Jax

***JAX IS LOCATED IN MASSACHUSETTS & IS AVAILABLE FOR A MEET & GREET TO APPROVED ADOPTERS ONLY!! *** Jax is a 6 year old dachshund mix. He is the ultimate cuddle bug and loves to curl up with his people on the couch or in bed (his family sometimes jokes that he thinks he is one of the humans too!). He is smart, eager to please, and loves running around outside in the back yard. When he's not burning off energy outside, he's the biggest couch potato and can be found on his bed or on the couch with his favorite Nylabone toy. Jax also loves playing & hanging with his fur sister. He frequently looks to her for cues on how to act in certain situations & enjoys her company. It would be best for him to go to a home with another pup. Jax is a timid little guy who has made great progress with warming up to people over the years. Although he has made progress with people, he still exhibits extreme protectiveness and fearfulness over visitors entering his home. With modifications when visitors are entering the home, a fenced in yard, and positive reinforcement, this trigger for Jax is easily avoided. Due to Jax's fearful nature, he would be best suited in a home with no children or grandchildren. The quieter the home the better! Jax thrives off of a predictable routine and quality time with his humans and will quickly become your shadow around the house once he's warmed up to you. A single family home is recommended. Jax is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped & taking heartworm & flea & tick preventative. There will be a rehoming fee. Is Jax the cuddlebug you & your pup have been looking for?
