About Doug - under evaluatio

Doug (aka Oakley) 16 months old, was one of the Great Danes we rescued last week from a shelter in West Virginia. He is currently under evaluation in his foster and not quite ready for adoption but will be after we get him healthy again! He saw the vet today $515 later he is on the road to recovery! He has some boosters in 2 weeks to be done then its all nutritional amd training from there to get this boy where he needs to be! He had severely red/pink skin and obvious allergies when picked up, so we have switched him to poultry free food and the vet gave him some allergy medication to help as well. We may look at doing an allergy test which will be $148, as most adopters cannot afford $180 a month in allergy medication. We see skin issues quite often, so hoping we covered it in his food change! His foster mom has been amazing. He was surrendered to the shelter because he 'would lose his mind' in the home when guests arrived. This is obviously a lack of proper socialization and training, luckily he is young enough that we can address this and typically change it. His foster mom says he is a complete sweetheart and she hasn't really seen any of these issues with him yet.
