About Rambo

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

A little about his history. Rambo is a true RESCUE. He was surrendered to a Philly shelter and because the people who surrendered him may not have been totally honest as they wanted to get rid of him, he was Timestamped for euthanasia on Thursday, 8/12 at 10am. He never had an issue with the shelter staff or anyone else he came in contact with. He is now with AFEW at a board/train facility and he is doing very well. Rambo is good with most everyone but we suggest no young children at this time. He is a fast learner, he knows sit, walks well on a leash (at first he will get excited), and is used to wearing a harness. He can be a lounge hound, but also would need to burn off some energy with good exercise. He loves car rides too. Rambo's one fall back is he will jump on you. The trainer is working with him and he is learning this is not acceptable. This link has a video of him and his trainer https://fb.watch/83ihmOWp3W/ Unfortunately Rambo does have a negative mark on him. Since there was a lot of local interest in Rambo and his training facility was too far away we moved him closer. Since he was new to the kennel and they didn't really know Rambo he did bite the new handlers hand. We decided to transport him back to his original kennel where he is comfortable and has never had a issue there in the months they have had him. Going forward if you would like to meet Rambo you would have to travel to Fleetwood, PA and work with him and the handler, most likely more than once, BUT he is definitely worth the trip.
