Meet FRANK! STATS: 1 year old Chihuahua mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Active home, not too much time alone. Fenced yard, playful dog buddy. HIGHLIGHTS: Super sweet and loving pup who will treat you every day like you are his sun, moon, and stars! Great companion. Quirky and fun. Frank is a 1 year old, 19.1 pound good looking, sweet mixed breed pup who came to us as an owner surrender. Frank's mom is a Chihuahua Yorkie mix, and his dad is a Chihuahua mix. Frank is super friendly and happy and likes everyone he meets! He loves his people and wants to be as close to them as possible. If you sit down near him, Frank will pile up in your lap in a heartbeat. He enjoys getting lots of attention and his human is his best friend. He is not a dog who will be happy left alone a lot. He greets his foster family so happily when they come home with lots of tail wags and happy jumps. Frank has great energy and should have a playful dog in his new home. He loves to run and romp with a buddy in the yard and he is good with most other dogs of all sizes. That said, he does seem to have some issues with certain male dogs. Not all though! Some of them he loves. If you are interested in Frank and have a male dog we definitely want to do a meet with your boy to see how he reacts. We believe he would be fine with kids, but he needs older kids because he can be jumpy and would probably knock a younger child down accidentally. He has not been around cats since we have had him. Frank seems to be housebroken, but like most male dogs he may mark at first in a new home until he gets used to your routine. Once settled into his foster home he did not have any accidents. He walks ok on a leash but needs some work, he pulls a bit with excitement. We believe a fenced yard is best for him because he is young and active and he's going to need more than just a couple of walks a day. Frank likes being able to go out in the yard and barks at the sky! At night when all his play time and loving is done he piles up into the big bed to sleep. Frank has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He will be such a wonderful companion for a lucky person!
