About Deuce

Deuce is a 7-year-old, 12 lb., black/gray Miniature Poodle/Maltese mix. He is bouncy, fun, energetic, and loves to play with toys. He is also affectionate, sweet and well mannered in the house. A home with a yard is preferable because Deuce loves to run around and play fetch (see his video). Deuce is very friendly to everyone he meets. He has completed a training program to socialize him around other dogs. He can be anxious about dogs he doesn't know, but has done very well when introduced slowly by walking with them. Due to his (assumed) lack of proper socialization during his early months of life, he will most likely ALWAYS need his humans to manage the space around other dogs, so he feels safe and doesn't feel like he has to be the one telling other dogs when they're too close for comfort. He would be best as the ONLY DOG in the home, but he loves pack walks with his friends. We are looking for an experienced owner who will continue reinforcing what Deuce has learned. Deuce is a great little buddy and will be a fun addition to the right family.
